  Atividades e grupos:Jenks FFA (Future Farmers of America) and FCCLA Mikayla was a dedicated member and competitor of the Jenks FFA (Future Farmers of America) Chapter. She also served as Secretary during her senior year (2012-2013). During her time in the FFA she took part in leadership conferences and camps, competitions both for herself and her livestock, and community service. She especially enjoyed her time in her horticulture and equine classes.   Mikayla rode and showed horses with KJM since she was around 8 years old up until she left for college. As a stable hand at Double U Ranch she was responsible for providing fresh hay to horses taking residence in a 12-stall barn. She was also responsible for cleaning each of these stalls daily. Water buckets were removed, dumped, scrubbed clean, and re-filled. Manure and urine soaked shavings were removed from stalls and fresh shavings were provided. Troughs outside in each pasture containing in total around 200 head of horses were filled and removed of hay, insects, ice, etc. The barn aisle was swept daily. Exibir menos

Organization is key in working with the products and machinery, whether this is with back-stocking, folding and sizing on the floor, filling the floor with new product, working at the register, or preparing fitting rooms for incoming customers.   Mikayla has always enjoyed the production of haunted attractions and was very excited to become a team member of Steel Head Productions newest brain child, Scream City (2015). Scream City is open between the end of September and beginning of November on weekends and some week days. Mikayla is responsible for maintaining and setting up clean/sanitary and organized makeup stations. She helps make sure all supplies are stocked and organized. She then has a short time period to quickly & effectively create realistic looking special fx make up specific to the actors role within the production. Her job is to then do this to herself and get into costume, act as terrifying as possible for whatever position she fills in for, and then return to make up and clean up the stations at the end of production. While this is only a seasonal position, she truly adores taking part in the production of fun thrills and chills patrons enjoy each fall. Exibir menos

  Mikayla joined the seasonal position of facepainting at the National Zoo late in the season after just moving to the DC area. She enjoyed being outdoors amongst zoo patrons enjoying the exhibits. Her job entailed setting up, maintaining, and then closing down a sanitary face painting cart. She also created/applied designs onto patron's face & body using both face paint and glitter. She maintained a proper image of a FONZ employee, stayed knowledgeable on Smithsonian National Zoo events and answered any questions a patron asked. On slow days or days of poor weather she worked as a sales employee in the gift shop.
