Nov 2013 - nowAs the Head of Professional Development and Assessment, I led the professional development of over 200 teachers and Academic Supervisors. I conducted extensive research to identify training and development needs, resulting in tailored development plans for the teaching staff. I also spearheaded the design and implementation of the Academic Support System, a mentoring program that improved teacher performance, aligning with international standards in ELT and teacher training.I trained more than 50 academic leaders to provide effective support for language teachers, ensuring that development-focused assessments were aligned with both formative and summative evaluation processes. My data-driven analysis of the Quality Assurance Programme's assessment outcomes helped increase alignment between teacher performance and institutional expectations. I monitored and provided feedback and continuous improvement of the operation of the system, ensuring Academic Leaders provide standarised, evidence-based and development-focused support.Additionally, I proposed a new teacher recruitment process to reduce hiring time, while enhancing the overall quality of hires, which contributed to an improvement in the delivery of study programs across the school. My efforts were instrumental in ensuring that teachers consistently delivered high-quality programs. Show less I worked with a group of 35 teachers, training them to deliver less traditional study programmes (hybrid and autonomous). My duties included but were not limited to 1) identifying training needs and implementing on-going formal training to ensure academic quality, 2) monitoring teachers' academic and administrative tasks, 3) managing the teachers' continuous professional development scheme, 3) overseeing the operation of a digital branch that served up to 400 students, 4) coordinating academic, commercial and administrative processes to provide a quality service within the customer journey. I also managed students feedback to provide teachers with recommendations and to propose improvement to the curriculum.In this position I achieved the implementation of optimised and semi-automated processes that facilitated the operation and defined clear roles and time frames to run courses (start, classes, asynchronous work, end and follow-up) and to collaborate with the commercial team to increase student retention. I managed an inventory of licenses for an external self-directed learning platform, being in constant contact with the owners to ask for changes in the licenses (e.g. activation, deactivation, content updates, technical issues, etc.).Some of the main achievements were to have the highest NPS among all the programmes in the organisation, as well as the best overall marks given by the external quality assurance programme that assesses the academic quality in the delivery of study programmes. This was achieved through the implementation of tailor-made training and follow-up to it with feedback and goal setting with the academic staff. As an Academic Supervisor, I also participated, coordinated and/or oversaw more general projects such as research to propose training to integrate technology and digital tools into the lessons effectively, optimisation of teachers' allocation, academic articles. Show less I worked with students, both adults and young learners, as well as companies throughout all levels (A1-C2). I gained professional and relevant experience of delivering delivering a variety of programmes (General English, Young learners, Business English, Conversation classes, Grammar courses).I worked as a teacher trainer in pre-service teacher courses as an assistant and main tutor. These courses are recognised nation wide and they are prestigious qualifications in the field of ELT.I also mentored a large number of novice and experienced teachers and guided them to achieve the successful implementation of best current practice in ELT.I also worked as an external observer of a Quality Assurance Programme, aiming at measuring the overall effectiveness of teaching and lesson planning within the 11 branches of the language school.
