  I am an accomplished nurse and educator with over 20 years of experience educating nursing students, residents, peers, and patients in a wide range of topics, including health risks and mitigation, treatment and diagnosis, Basic and Advanced Life Support, cardiovascular patient care and education, and more. I am fortunate to have had many patients and mentors who have touched my life, teaching me true humanity and the importance of compassion in nursing and mentorship. Carrying forward the lessons of my own mentors, I endeavor to educate my students in the most up-to-date nursing practices while also impressing upon them the value of human dignity and compassion within the medical field. There are significant changes sweeping the healthcare industry, from insurance and reimbursement challenges, legal aspects impacting patient care, tele-medicine, and specialized education requirements. I have grown with the industry, serving as a super user and new technology educator for facility/department-wide implementations, peer-to-peer training, and nursing student instruction. My career in nursing has been one of growth and dedication, and I look forward to transitioning into full-time nursing instruction in order to cultivate the next generation of nurses and empower them to thrive within the industry while also providing the most effective and impactful patient care possible.
