  My first job! - a graduate trainee position that allowed me to spend time in the areas of factory maintenance, production and finally capital project management.Attended a range of courses giving a foundation in the skills needed for successful capital project management .Undertook projects to redesign the packing area of a large plant bakery and also another project to develop a van wash facility for large trucks.

  Led the teams focused on food manufacturing technologies and global regulatory affairs at Campden BRI. Both teams support food manufacturers by delivering commercially focused research, technology, training and consultancy based solutions to aid process and product innovation. Leadership priorities: Technical strategy for the team, line management and personal development.Commercial responsibilities: P&L delivery for the budgeted income and its strategic growth.Led a number of collaborative R&D programmes within the UK and EU - established and delivered the Food and Health Innovation Service in Scotland (5 yrs) supporting food and drink product innovationAn experienced trainer and consultant supporting companies on a broad front.
