  I have a long-standing international publication and research profile in the areas of governance, public administration and public policy analysis. I am the Professorial Lead for Research Strategy in the School of Education and Social Sciences at UWS. As Co-Editor of the prestigious Contemporary Social Science academic journal (the flagship journal of the Academy of Social Sciences), I am held in high esteem within my scholarly discipline. Before joining the University of the West of Scotland, I worked in senior roles within major public services in Scotland. I was awarded Senior Fellowship with the UK Higher Education Academy in 2015.
