    • HRV Hungary Zrt.

      Jun 2017 - Mar 2018
      Full-stack Developer

While attending high school, I was working at HRV, one of Hungary's major facility management companies at the time, to implement in-house apps and services that would help the company keep track of stocks and employee attendance. I used a basic NodeJS server, a MongoDB database, and several React-Native apps to achieve these goals.

      May 2018 - Aug 2018
      React-Native developer

We were working in a team of 6 (3 backend and 3 mobile developers) on a greenfield project for a real estate company. In my day-to-day work, I collaborated with the other developers on the team, contributing to the codebase, and reviewing pull requests.

    • RisingStack

      Oct 2018 - Dec 2020

I have re-built our company website (risingstack.com) and our blog with Ghost and Handlebars hosted on Netlify, while aiming to optimise responsibility, loading time and SEO as much as possible. I built some other greenfield projects with React, Node, GraphQL and REST APIs. I also got a taste of designing user interfaces, contributed to our React state management library called react-easy-state, and I wrote several tutorial series to our blog about learning React-Native and Flutter/Dart. I was learning about React, Mapbox and NodeJS development in production while working on a map-based storytelling project for index.hu, the biggest news site in Hungary.

As part of a team of 2-3, I worked on greenfield outsourcing projects for both Hungarian and international companies. During downtime between projects, we also developed in-house tech demo projects and experimented with AI tools such as TensorFlow Lite. My day-to-day responsibilities focused on collaborating with other developers, building new features, fixing bugs and writing unit tests.

Here I was part of cross-functional remote product teams. We released updates weekly to our app used by millions, so speed, scalability, punctuality and communication was always important. My role included collaborating with devs, tech lead, product manager, analyst and designer; shipping new functionality; A/B testing; fixing bugs; refactoring old code; making performance and scalability improvements to the app, backend and DB; or helping out other teams across the company. I’ve also proven myself to be a fast learner - one time I’ve been tasked to optimise SQL queries and I’ve made them 3x-10x faster, with no prior SQL knowledge. I’d also usually ship new functionality ahead of time. Show less
