  Within the Digital Transformation Directorate (DTNUM), I worked on the IAPPEL project, a solution aimed at improving emergency call handling through artificial intelligence.My role involved:- Developing and optimizing speaker diarization models (Pyannote, Nvidia NeMo) to automatically identify who is speaking and when- Evaluating and comparing automatic speech recognition (ASR) models (Whisper, Vosk) in terms of accuracy, speed, and environmental impact- Integrating and testing generative AI models (LLMs) to assist operators by extracting key information from calls- Improving performance and optimizing algorithms for real-time use in critical situationsThis project was developed in collaboration with the Ain firefighters to support operator decision-making and accelerate emergency response times.
