      Spice Road Bellydance performed at shows in a variety of venues, exhibiting Egyptian dances of both Orientale and folkloric styles as well as interpretive and American bellydance. SR members are now enjoying an extended sabbatical.

      Amar Egyptian Dance Theatre is dedicated to presenting theatre-based shows, featuring Egyptian folkloric, raks sharqi, raks beledi, raks shaabi, and contemporary interpretive and fusion dances.I have created and taught educational outreach, including programs for dance schools, community centres, schools, daycares, physical education programs, and arts programs. This includes: curricula-connected lessons; learning extensions; instructional units in Egyptian dance, culture and history, world dance; preschool and school age developmentally- appropriate dance and movement education; and the creation, teaching, and adapting of cooperative and cross-cultural games.Since 2007, I have been organizing professional development workshops with master teachers and showcases of Middle Eastern dance performances which have provided meaningful and valuable opportunity to dancers across the Prairies and Midwest.
