    • Portland State University

      Oct 2007 - Jun 2011

As a Resident Assistant I was heavily involved in the forming of a community. I became knowledgeable about PSU resources to strengthen my abilities. I also implemented programs in which the residents are able to attend in order to build community strength. Those events ranged from educational foundations using departments on campus to enhance the activities to arranging ice cream socials. I was also the primary liaison between PSU Campus Housing and PSU Athletics culminating in increased responsibility coordinating campus wide events and reaching out to the student body beyond my own residents. I was also put in a position of leadership coordinating with other resident assistants and delegating responsibilities. This also made me a primary resource for information. Show less

    • Kia America

      Jun 2011 - Feb 2012
      Marketing Associate and Finance Manager

When first beginning with KIA, my primary responsibilities were focused on the internet sales department. I worked with multiple systems and programs including dealerpeak, ADP, dealer.net, facebook and a handful of others. I was reponsible for generating leads as well as maintaining and updating all of the social media outlets. Through facebook alone, sales increased by 15%. During my time there, the finance department was struggling. Demonstrating the drive and skills, I became a finance assistant for a short time eventually leading to a finance management position. During that time I still maintained my repsonsibilities with the marketing, and also was able to improve the finance department. Gross average profit increased by 64%. Accounts receivable dropped from $1.2 million to $320,000, and that goal was accomplished 45 days ahead of schedule. Show less

Also, being able to meet requirements by means of preparation and organization. Finally, I got a firmer grasp on my personal limitations in a professional realm. • Marshall's Inc

      Jul 2014 - now
      Marketing & Leads Coordinator

As the marketing coordinator responsible for generating leads, I worked on a wide variety of marketing aspects. I actively engaged himself in the community as a member of the Chamber of Commerce, attending networking events held after hours, and creating partnerships. One such partnership was sponsoring the athletics program of a local high school in which I initiated conversation, created relationships, developed the working contract, and attended sporting events as a vendor. I was successful in engaging the community and created a steady wave of new leads.Online I maintained/updated and, if needed, created the company website and social media. I also was the individual to engage with any social media interaction or reviews on Angie's List, Google, Yelp, Facebook, Twitter, Houzz, Pinterest, LinkedIn, and the Marshall's website. If a lead turned into a sale it was my responsibility to process the information. This was done for all departments within Marshall's that sold equipment or materials. The information gathered had to be confirmed with no margin for error when inputting information. This required focused attention to detail. If there was an error, it was up to me to determine the best course of action by not only determining the problem but also provide solutions as well.Though I had never worked in the HVAC industry, I demonstrated my capacity to quickly learn key aspects of the business. I also took initiative in reaching out to third parties, creating new avenues to generate leads. Also, I exhibited my ability to work cross functionally at Marshall's having at times stepping into the customer service department and coordinating the insulation crew. The opportunity to expand my knowledge of the function of outside aspects not directly tied to my responsibilities is one I always enjoy. Show less
