      Lead a staff of seven people including the University Communications Officer, managed the board of the Brandon University Foundation along with its various committees, as well as the board of the Brandon University Alumni Association. Select Accomplishments:-Raised $5.4M for a capital campaign and an average of $1.2M annually.-Increased the funds under management from $30M to $35M and participated in the ongoing management of these funds.-Worked with consultant, Penelope Burk, on a $25M capital campaign feasibility study and a multi-year strategic operational plan.-Provided guidance on communications during a faculty strike.-Participated on the President’s Advisory Committee with Deans and Senior University Administrators.       Team leader for the planned giving portfolio for the university’s 22 faculties.Select Accomplishments:-Increased program revenues from approximately $1M a year in realized gifts to over $4M a year, representing between 17 – 20-% of the total cash gifts received annually by the university and raised another $4.5M a year in future gift commitments. -Grew the program from one staff and one assistant to include two additional planned giving officers. Lead team to raise gifts and pledges totaling $77.5M in 9.5 years.-Took an inclusive team approach to the multi-year planning process. Strategically began the process by bringing in Frank Minton to audit work and advise on future directions.-Created a strong sense of community and engagement with over 450 donors, many of which were meaningful and deeply genuine connections with people who were otherwise alone.-Raised the three largest gifts of career – one over $7M, one $3M and one $2.5M.       Lead the Development and Communications teams, responsible for approximately $7M in annual revenues. Held direct responsibility for creating and executing new fundraising programs in major and planned giving.Select Accomplishments:-Raised 41 new planned gift expectancies totaling $2.4M.-Raised $490K in major gifts and made an additional $1.8M in asks to donors.-Added six new team members to the staff including training and mentoring.-Created the Annie A. Bond Legacy Circle including a very successful luncheon, three newsletters, a sophisticated lead generating e-survey and a comprehensive planned giving website.-Oversaw moves management and enhanced stewardship activities to greatly increase relationship building and donor engagement with the Foundation.-Facilitated a much smoother annual budgeting process, bringing in the development budget in an organized and on time manner.-Facilitated a multi-year strategic and operational planning process, most of which had been accomplished by the end of year one of the plan.-Facilitated an audit of the Foundation’s communications, leading to a more donor-centered approach.
