  My first nursing position. I worked on a 33 bed vent/trach unit in a long term care facility. I was often charge nurse for the 120 facility on the midnight shift. I supervised respiratory therapists and certified nursing assistants. I often had hospice patients as well. I performed wound care, phlebotomy, medication administration, clerical duties and patient care. I became proficient in escalating levels of care and post-mortem care.

  I work in a 8 bed intermediate critical care unit in Huron Valley Sinai Hospital as a regsitered nurse. I am responsible for a variety of medical and surgical patients daily. I am a member of the Superuser committee that works together to enhance the EMR. I have experience in Observations, ICU Stepdown and Telemetry. Common types of patients seen in IMCU are, post surgical, DKA, a fib with RVR, hypotension, sepsis, etoh withdrawl, respiratory failure, acute kidney injury and CVA.
