  As a Vehicle and Mechanical Equipment Technician my responsibilities included maintaining and repairing a vast array of ground equipment. This ranged from high pressure hydraulic rigs and ground power units used within aircraft maintenance and operations, to haulage, passenger carrying and armoured fighting vehicles. I maintained and repaired lifting equipment, WAHPPE and all mechanical handling equipment including forklifts and cranes. As part of my role had to adhere to strict engineering policy and procedures found within an air environment.   Tools Specialist

  As a Downhole Tools Specialist I provided technical support and expertise towards rig site application of pre-completion, drilling support and Integrity Verification tools. I have planned operations and designed work strings to effectively complete jobs to meet and surpass the client’s high standards, co-ordinated with fluids engineers to optimize use of chemicals and supervised drill crews during set up, operation and retrieval of specialist downhole tools. I inspected and measured finished assemblies to determine conformance to strict specifications and suitability for the application. While on site I monitored effectiveness of downhole tool performance, answered client questions concerning operating parameters, dimensions, applications and potential future use of downhole tools. I reviewed schematics, tool programs, and the operators well completion plans prior to running in hole, supervised correct make up of tool assemblies, clean-up operations and transfer of tools to and from transport (Sea or Road). I regularly communicated effectively and positively with clients and rig personnel to resolve any unforeseen issues or changes in operations. 收起
