  Girl Child Network Uganda is a community-based organization that empowers girls and women through empowerment clubs in schools and community programmes. It was founded in 2009 with the vision to “To create a world where girls are empowered, enjoying their social, economic and political rights, and walking in the fullness of their potential”. The purpose of Girl Child Network was therefore: To advocate for the human rights of women and the girl child in Uganda To empower communities through provision of entrepreneurial & business skills training To empower the girl child through empowerment clubs, health education, mentoring and counseling. Today, our small organization reaches more than one thousand girls with our programs, while many have gained access to education and financial opportunities.
