I started as a Sales Assistant working part time during my studies at university, my main duties and responsibilities were, till work, where I was able to do refunds, exchanges and a range of different processes normally only senior members of staff had the responsibility to do, this allowed me to support the management when needed.Customer Service was key to Paperchase, we strived to maintain a high level of customer satisfaction, I received 100% from a secret shopper for my customer service.I was responsible for continuous stock management and to ensure visual merchandising was up to date and to shop standards, providing suitable replacements for anything unavailable and ensuring all items were priced correctly with the right point of sale. After I finished my studies I was promoted to Senior Sales which is part of the management team, I helped co-ordinate staff by managing tasks, manage stock take on a higher level such as preparation for sales, sending back old stock, dealing with any faulty items and preparing for visual merchandising, I confidently managed the shop on my own including opening up which including entering the float to each till, ensuring all was correct, readying the shop for customers, setting hourly targets and tasks to help achieve these, managing the team ready for the day ahead and following up with the previous days accounts., I cashed up organised the float ready for the next and processed the daily admin to ensure everything was accounted for including any deficits, petty money used and evidencing any refunds, exchanges and enquiries. After every cash up an update would be left for the next person in which would show the updated figures and tasks completed, set and any other important information regarding the shop. Show less
