  Managed and coordinated Next Steps, a community-based rehab program for Easter Seals Bay Area. This was a functional activity program for individuals that have survived brain injuries and/or CVAs. My responsibilities included overseeing the coordination and administration of all aspects of the program including planning, organizing, staffing, leading, and managing program activities. I developed initiatives to support the strategic direction of the program, and developed and implemented long-term goals and objectives to achieve the successful outcome of the program Voir moins

  Worked closely with the consultants hired to help re-certify the unit with Medicare to meet State (Medicare/Medical), CMS, and Title 22 regulations. Rewrote the policies and procedures for the Recreation Therapy department, and expanded programming to better serve the residents needs and bring the unit into compliance with the new CMS standards.

  Returned to Telecare Villa Fairmont in August of 2009. I had previously worked for Telecare as a Rehabilitation Therapist several years ago. This is an exciting place to work. As a clinical manager I am able to create policy and I am pleased to participate in providing a healthy environment where individuals who have a diagnosis of serious mental illness and co-occurring conditions can find hope and continue to move towards their dreams. The Rehab department spearheads the continued transformation to the Recovery-Model of Mental health services, and it's my priviledge to mentor, grow and develop therapists, activity leaders, peer support staff, Rehab and peer specialist interns.
