      The Naval Undersea Warfare Center’s Newport Division is the Navy’s leading Warfare Center for Research, Development, Test, Evaluation, and Acquisition for undersea systems (Sonar, Combat Control, Weapons, Launchers, Communications, and Electronic Warfare) as well as serving as the in service engineering (ISE) support for those same systems. NUWC Division Newport oversees RDT&E, Acquisitions, and ISE support for all the Navy’s Air, Surface, and Submarine platforms as well as leading the development and fielding of Unmanned Undersea Vehicle (UUV) systems. NUWC Division Newport is funded through the Navy Working Capital Fund and is responsible for an annual budget of approximately $1.2 Billion.The Executive Officer is responsible for leading NUWC Division Newport’s day-to-day operations and implementing command initiatives for approximately 75 Military, 2700 Government Civilians, and more than 2500 Contractor personnel located in Newport, RI and 15 remote sites across the country and at the Atlantic Underwater Test & Evaluation Center (AUTEC) in the Bahamas.
