Trained in sterilization, chair-side assisting, patient care, set-up and breakdown of operatories, Shumway works as a dental assistant. Shumway left in January of 2020, and left to serve a mission for her church. However, due to COVID she returned and worked in the summer until August of 2020 in this position.

This role demonstrates customer-service skills through answering concerns via phone calls and emails for employees, dependents, and retirees. Proficient use of a variety of systems including: Excel, Word, OneWorkforce, DB Calc, Alight, and ECM systems. It also has included assisting the pension team with pension service and deferred vested calculations. Management and retention of ServiceNow tickets/departmental mail and documentation saved to proper storage places is a large portion of the role.
