  UNI Homecoming Court 2014 - Sep 2014 I was nominated and selected as part of the University of Northern Iowa Homecoming Court. The Royalty application and selection process was a great opportunity to showcase a few of the many outstanding students at UNI. The Homecoming Royalty Court was comprised of five Queen Candidates and five King Candidates. Throughout the week we participated in various Homecoming events including; Pridecry event, Royalty Talent Competition, Pep Rally, and Parade walk.

  SMWIA International Scholarship Sheet Metal Workers' International Scholarship Foundation Jun 2014 This scholarship was incredibly important to me because only 20 students out of ~440 who applied across the nation received it. I was also told by an important figure within the Union not to even waste my time applying for the scholarship because there was no way that I would make it through, over the larger Locals.
