Verified all interpreters’ registration requirements and provided a copy of their registration ID card through mail for all accounts that were current. Conducted research to determine the scope of veteran benefit programs and services, consisting of interviews with key members of campus, surveys with student veterans, review of Veteran’s Affairs policies and associated documentation. Increased awareness throughout the campus veterans of support available for educational benefits by assisting in creating an active website on the University’s webpage. Investigated Bloomsburg University’s mental health structure by conducting interviews with the director of the Center of Counseling and Human Development.       Currently serving as the Interim First Sergeant for a Logistics Support Company comprised of 107 Soldiers in over 20 different military occupational specialties. Primarily responsible for providing effective change management in an extremely critical leadership void. Assisting the full-time active staff on all operational planning and upcoming training ranges and events for a battalion of over 450 Soldiers. Experience in being a Range Safety officer on several military ranges ensuring all training was being conducted in a safe manner performing periodic safety check-ups throughout the training period. Deployed to Lithuania in April 2016 to assist in Combat Engineer support development exchange operations. Trained a class of over 30 Lithuanian officers on military tactics and leadership methods specific to operations in combat theaters. Serves as the Battalion Operation Sergeant for the 103rd Combat Engineer Battalion; manages Battalion level training files; focuses on Battalion readiness through ensuring personnel are scheduled for mandatory schools (NCOES, OES, DMOSQ, and other combat and non-combat training). In addition, serves as a section leader of a 13 man headquarters S-3 section; responsible for their health, welfare, morale, and training Show less Organized and supervised training for 150 Soldiers, developing and delivering training to enhance group cohesion and morale through facilitating team building activities and initiatives conducive to tasks assigned. Account for Soldiers, material, and equipment by conducting daily inventories and inspections of all assigned equipment. Supervise in mine warfare, demolition’s and combat construction operations to ensure proper placement and being overall in charge of all safety to include all demolition operations. Calculate logistical requirements for minefields, bunkers, shelters, obstacles and wire entanglements to determine total equipment and material needed for each specific mission. Enforce safety standards, field sanitation, communication procedures, security, and job specifications by conducting spot checks and assigning personnel to assist in additional duties listed above. Provides support for construction and tactical movements by offering advice and guidance to the platoon leader on all mission requirements. Supervises platoon reconnaissance missions and determines the Rapid Field classification of fixed bridges by using measurements of each bridge and guides to determine each classification. Direct employment of Wolverine, Armored Vehicle Launched Bridge (AVLB) and the Armored Combat Earthmover (ACE) in support of maneuver forces. The platoon sergeant is the primary assistant and advisor to the platoon leader, with the responsibility of training and caring for soldiers. Show less Provided twenty-four hour operational coverage for all Camp Command Cell sections by supervising six personnel working three 8-hour shifts with two personnel per shift. The EOC supports the Camp Commander’s mission through monitoring all radio, telephonic, and email traffic pertaining to daily operations keeping the Commander, the EOC NCOIC informed the Commander all times with every event occurring on base on a daily basis. Reporting and monitoring events that impact life support activities on the Camp until properly resolved by gathering information and making necessary notifications to corresponding offices and updating the Commander as new information developed. Dispatched Incident Command and notification of key personnel in response to emergencies by making all necessary phone call notifications and using radio channels to alert any additional support. Utilized the Wireless Audio Visual Emergency System (WAVES) computer connected to several loud speakers positioned throughout the camp to alert tenant units and transient Soldiers of force protection events for accountability and safety precautions. Provided help desk coverage during off duty hours being 24-hour operation assigned by the Commander for Camp Command Cell sections by taking charge of all work orders for any malfunctioning equipment and making necessary calls to fix selected problems after normal working hours from 1700-0800. Decision making authority for all relevant issues relating to security enforcement and installation access by enforcing all policies and procedures that were put out by higher headquarters.
