      Technical Marketing and System Solutions Manager. I have been involved in the Mass Market and Distribution Division of the Automotive Group, since its establishment, to provide my technical and managerial experience. Accountable for all the marketing activities concerning demand creation and fulfilment with focus on system solution identification and development. It has been part of my job: to propose and manage the development of system solutions, coordinating the product divisions resources; to identify new business opportunities; to guarantee technical and commercial support to sales and distributors; to support the organization and participation to expositions and workshops; to support new products launch campaigns. The results obtained in this role, can be summarized as follow:- Managed the development of the system solutions, covering the whole range of the Mass Market automotive applications (providing schematics, BoM, application boards, white papers etc.).- Contribution to the penetration of the automotive products in the mass market with identification of target segments and applications.- Managed the development of systems solutions for opportunities identified by the Regional Sales.- Conducting market research and competitor analysis.- Proposed new products, for identified business opportunities, developing requirements and business plan.- Supported campaigns for the launch of new products and systems solutions.- Managed the development of the automotive branch of the Company website,- Managed the development of marketing collaterals (products selection guide, brochures, flyers, posters, presentations, etc.).- Organized trainings for sales, distribution FAEs and costumers. Show less I was responsible, in the Automotive Group, for the R&D activities performed with funding programs. Supported by a resource and coordinating the projects managers appointed by the product divisions, it was my job: to identify funding opportunities in line with the medium/long term business objectives and invest strategies; to promote and coordinate the development of new projects proposals; to develop partnership for project consortium, to manage funded projects; to manage relationships with Institutions and partners. The results obtained in that period can be summarized as follow: - Managed the development of projects proposals both for European and for National funding, with over 60% of acceptance. - Successfully managed as Coordinator, within Galileo the Program, a consortium to develop a Galileo GNSS receiver for handheld and automotive applications.- Strong contribution to strategic know-how development- Increased the number of collaborations with Companies, Universities and Research Institutions. Show less In the Automotive Product Group I was responsible for a new R&D team start-up (foreseen thirty people) developing integrated systems for automotive in real-time and infotainment applications. Reporting to Division Director, the results obtained in that period can be summarized as follow:- Group and activities start-up according to the agreed development plan (personnel, laboratories and projects management)- Two projects started and successful completed under my responsibility. - Developed collaborations with local Companies and Universities.- Obtained funds, from the European Community, for a research project. Show less In the Soft Computing Operations R&D Group, I was responsible for the Crema R&D Center coordinating the activities of sixteen people on site, six people located in Catania and a variable number of consultants. It was my job to develop and manage strategic collaborations and activities, in terms of business opportunity and know-how acquisition. Reporting to the Group VP, the results obtained in that period can be summarized as follow:- Developed and managed the Crema R&D Center (activities, structures, laboratories, personnel, internal and external contacts). - Member of the Management Board in the joint R&D program with Yamaha. I was responsible for new the projects identification and the communication toward Yamaha. Moreover, I was directly involved in the management of two projects concerning automotive systems for comfort and safety applications, that is semi-active suspensions and driver attention.- Managed with success the development, in collaboration with CRF (FIAT), of automotive system for “Line Detection” and “Blind Spot Monitoring”.- Start-up of a new activity for using Ultra-Wide-Band (UWB) radar technology in automotive. Preliminary studies made in collaboration with the Tor Vergata University-Rome. Developed prototype and demo application. - Coordinator for two International projects funded by the European Community (Daphne and Epi-Medics). - Developed agreement with Ametek to cooperate at the development of intelligent control systems for vacuum cleaners motor. Realized a joint lab and started the development of some original solution (patented). - Successful promotion, toward Technogym, of multimedia and control solutions for wellness applications. - Managed the transfer of rights and know-how, from the technical evaluation phase to contract development.- Contribution in know-how development, as author and promoter of several patents.- Increased the number of collaborations with customers, universities and research institutes.
