      As CDO I am responsible for the leadership of the BGS digital data and data technology strategies, ensuring organisational evolution and efficient and effective exploitation of BGS digital assets to create science and business value. This involves accountability for the development of a robust, coherent digital data and information technology strategy, ensuring that we leverage the latest technology, data and analytics capabilities to achieve our overall business and science objectives, as well as building strong connections with external data communities to position BGS as an outward looking digital organisation Show less The GeoAnalytics and Modelling Directorate adds value to BGS data through data centred geoscience research, innovation and commercialisation. We specialise in the development of 3D modelling systems; parameterisation and process modelling techniques; uncertainty analysis; geostatistics including big data analytics and machine learning. We specialise in the development of digital technology such as the development of immersive 3D visualization techniques, mobile apps, B2B systems and online decision support systems. Digital innovation and the development of novel Geoscience products and services is a core strength of the directorate where we have won several awards for our ability to co-design solutions to users needs.
