Managed 68 drivers, more than any other JB Hunt Operations Supervisor by 40 drivers. Responsible for reporting, addressing, and counseling on safety compliance items (collisions or incidents, physical re-certifications, CDL renewals, annual reviews, 90 day reviews, exit interviews, log counseling, setting up random drug tests, collision mitigation counseling, hard-brake event counseling, roll-stability counseling, etc.), dispatching, assisting with Peoplenet (on board computer), providing cash advances, managing time-off, notifying the customer (Home Depot) of any service issues, assuring all freight outbound and inbound gets delivered and picked-up, and training new hires as well as pairing them with a driver trainer and truck. Show less The Home Depot account in Monroe, OH is the largest JB HUNT DCS account in the central region. I started as a Dedicated Manager in Training and was quickly promoted to an Operations Supervisor. Once an Operations Supervisor I managed our outsourced driver carriers, working to streamline their dispatching, utilization, payment, and billing of the customer. My daily duties include providing load information to our outsourced drivers, tracking loads and miles of our outsourced drivers, assisting drivers with anything they may need help with, billing our customer (Home Depot) for outsourced drivers, and providing our logistics coordinator with restrictions and eta's for outsourced carriers. I managed as many as 88 outsourced drivers to assist in Home Depot's busy season.Prior to assisting with our outsourced carriers I was managing 27 JB HUNT DCS drivers on our fleet. Managed inbound & outbound freight for 7 refrigerated warehouse operations. Communicating, scheduling, securing capacity, and booking freight alongside planning and scheduling the drivers.In 1 years time I helped reduce turnover from 100% to 50% (estimated $150,000 in savings) and simultaneously increased profits to record highs with an annual increase of $250,000.00.
