  ResearchResearching pediatric medical poisonings causes, prevention methods, and general medical safety for parents. Working with a team of researchers, doctors, and pharmacists with a grant from the National Library of Medicine. Created a presentation with information on over-the-counter and prescription medical safety, such as checking for the same active ingredient, reading labels, and using the right measuring devices to administer medicine. Co-authored on research presented at the Medical Library Association Annual Meeting.Health Education Presenting on medical safety to parents in the pediatric ambulatory clinic as they waited for appointments. Designing the presentation to ensure that it was accessible to parents with low medical literacy and parents whose first language was not English. Surveying parents to collect data on the success of the presentation with a pre and post survey. Show less
