  I assisted a professor in teaching a basic mathematics course. As a fellow, I hosted review sessions about once a month right before the students would have an exam. Being a math fellow helps me to learn time management between my course load and making sure the students obtain all the help that they need to be successful. It also helped to improve my communication skills from person to person because I had to think about how to explain a problem in a way that they understand. I try to follow the way a textbook explains it rather than the way I would do it, so trying to explain another persons work can prove a challenge sometimes. Show less

I would assist in preparing laboratory procedures as well as create learning tools to aid in the classroom.
