  Engineered a stand-alone multi-threaded linux application that employed Kalman and Wiener Filters to effectively eliminate noise from the input video and Autoregressive modeling to do effective reconstruction at the decoder.Conducted a comprehensive analysis of blocking artifacts in the encoded video and successfully improved the end-user experience by resolving the issue for HDR 10-bit content within the x265 encoder.Collaborated with the team of 4 in implementing Histogram-based scene-cut detection in x265 resulting in significant improvement in bitrate savings as well as computational complexity reduction in terms of encoded frames per seconds.Implemented intrinsic and AVX2 optimization for various functions like SAD and Subsampling in x265 accelerating the performance of x265 by 3%.Contributed to enhancing the x265 video encoder by implementing the Segment Based Rate Control feature and adding extra temporal layers increasing the video quality by 1%.Worked in collaboration with a Senior Video Codec Engineer to develop the ABR Ladder feature for the x264 video encoder as part of the Ultraziq product.
