Responsibilities include: providing veterinary expertise on the proper disposition of animals by performing ante-mortem and post mortem inspection of livestock and poultry to detect, identify and diagnose conditions that may render food product unwholesome; providing informative HACCP outreach and customer service for new and existing establishments; review and assist clientele to verify the implementation of written SSOP's; assist program personnel to take regulatory control actions when establishments are not in compliance; and perform supervisory duties to five program personnel.
