  Teaching Assistant

  First gained experience within a teaching role whilst at college. I completed forty hours work placement at The St Lawrence Academy, shadowing the PE teachers with delivering practical and classroom lessons, planning lessons and sorting sports equipment. During my time at college I also went into a primary school to deliver games and activities to the children on their lunch breaks. Alongside this I also volunteered for numerous sporting events, including badminton, athletics, sports days, tri-golf and more.First year of university I had another forty hour placement to complete, this time I chose North Lindsey College to gain experience with teaching a different age group. With more confidence, I took a more involved role, assisting with teaching parts of the lessons and delivering practical sessions. Show less
