      Started painting at the class of Prof. Dieter Krieg, then concept art in the class of Prof. Fritz Schwegler. Studied parallel history of arts and philosophy and worked as a student assistant for Prof. Paul Good and Prof. Tony Cragg. Got 1988 a studentship and went to Paris living in the Cité international des arts, finished with a "Meisterschüler" degree in 1989
