Improve equipment availability to support apt achievement of processing schedules and devise measures to achieve and sustain target production efficiencies.2. To manage the provision of services, (engineering, utilities, environmental health & safety, facilities, Procurement) in a meticulous manner so that the department meets its objectives with uninterrupted service.3. Effectively manages the department’s expenditure and assets within the agreed budget identify the future business and capex requirements, lead maintenance annual overhaul and modification projects of plant and quality control equipment to guarantee attainment of consistent optimum productivity and quality product.4. Monitor efficiencies of packaging lines to ensure maximum productivity is attained, uptime prioritised and proper preventive maintenance followed.5. Energy management.6. Ensure satisfactory completion of projects within agreed budget, to agreed time schedules and specification7. To champion environmental health & safety activities and standards, and to support the factory in achieving high safety standards8.
