Fermented Vegetables in Drums - Temporarily preserved in strong salt solution. Requires further processing before consumption Purchase of fresh vegetables (gherkins), grading, dry culling, packing in 240/260lit HDPE drum, media filling (mixture of calculated amount of salt, water and calcium chloride), fermentation, culling of fermented gherkins, packing in 240/260 HDPE drum, mother brine filling, closing drum, buyer/self inspection, drum sealing, labeling, container loading and transport of finished goods to port.
