  Research associate for IU Health and Carpman Grant Associates, Wayfinding Consultants on the IU Health Wayfinding project. Project goal was to inform the overhaul of existing signage systems for IU Health Methodist, Riley Hospital for Children and to inform new system signage standards.Trained with a wayfinding expert from Carpman Grant and spent two weeks on the ground conducting qualitative research interviews with visitors to Methodist and Riley campuses.

  Reporting to the VP of Product and Innovation, I partnered with our product and operations teams to shape and drive customer-centric organizational change. This included developing and launching IU Health Plan's customer experience strategy, creating CX measurement systems, and driving trainings and projects in partnership with teams throughout the organization. * Developed and implemented successful member feedback survey and action plan (13% response rate). Recognized by national NCQA auditors for comprehensiveness and quality of customer insights achieved compared to industry standards. * Led a multi-team, year-long effort to redesign the IU Health Plans website. Even with additional UX research and testing the project delivered on-time, and with a savings credit used to support the additional integration of online membership enrollment tool. * Hosted immersive customer experience training event at the Indianapolis Children’s Museum for approximately 50 senior leaders. Show less Embedded with the IU Health Design and Construction department to ensure that public and patient facing spaces were welcoming, comfortable, and healing environments for patients, caregivers, and families using evidence based practices. Assisted in development of research and department education materials, and review of ongoing patient-facing projects to identify opportunities for improvement.* Facilitated research for pediatric behavioral care unit redesign. Final design accommodated inpatient, outpatient and visiting family in a progressive care model within a limited physical footprint while meeting high-safety requirements.* Conducted in-field ‘Condition of Satisfaction’ research with patients and families at Riley Hospital for Children. Final analysis used to evaluate success of contractual elements that determined financial outcomes for project stakeholders.* Co-Designed study on causes of excessive noise within hospital inpatient units and impact on clinical teams and patients. Recommended range of cost-effective solutions for future spaces and retrofits to improve recovery outcomes, lower distraction and error levels. * Implemented process to integrate patient-centric design review into existing design and construction project management practices.
