  BikeWalkKC's mission is to redefine our streets as places for people to build a culture of active living. We are the dedicated bicycle and pedestrian advocacy non profit organization in the Kansas City region. Through advocating for better policies and infrastructure, youth and adult education programs, planning and design work, bike share, and encouragement events, BikeWalkKC strives to make the Kansas City region a more bike and pedestrian friendly place to live. Director of Programs:-Develop strategies, goals, and metrics for the education programs-Teach various bicycle safety workshops and classes to youth and adults-Develop, implement, and oversee educational programs and curricula-Initiate and cultivate strategic partnerships with schools, municipalities, and community organizations-Write grants and otherwise raise funds to support educational programming-Manage annual budget for education programs-Manage staff, contractors, and volunteers (current team: 18)-Plan outreach and educational events-Track, report, and evaluate for programs and grants-Contribute to BikeWalkKC’s organizational decision-making and directions Show less
