  Multidisciplinary educator & artist in residence

  I meet my Photography, Mindfulness, ESL students and fellow artist/educators for 1:1, 2:1, or in small groups of up to eight) for transformational 4, 7, 10, and 30-day intensive retreats at vacation destinations around the world: any resort, lodge, AirBnb, cruise, campground in the world, or even in clients homes as an "Educator and Artist in Residence."Learning happens best when we are immersed in meaningful activities and engrossed in a passion, especially in a community of supportive learners who share our interests and goals. Propose a trip, and I will help you form a group of people with similar interests and goals; We might plan a trip to practice conversational or business English, documentary or portrait photography, and/or mindful awareness (or ANY topic of your choosing) while touring art museums in Paris, bird watching in Costa Rica, attending cooking classes in Thailand, or backpacking in India. I will prepare a customized six-week online course to prepare our group for the adventure, and arrange monthly virtual meetings to stay in touch after the event.I combine mindfulness, community building, and English lessons and practice with my passions in writing, public speaking, independent travel, portrait & street photography, and social entrepreneurship. Participants bring their "whole selves" to our events, with an emphasis on self inquiry, authentic self-expression, active listening and non-violent communication, creating an opportunity for both personal and professional development.I also coach clients (native speakers and English language learners alike) in self-awareness, mindfulness, independent & budget travel, and minimalist living. I am especially interested in collaborating with fellow educators, artists, healers, and social entrepreneurs to create co-living, co-working, & co-mentorship courses and retreats, in a co-op fashion (employing a co-leadership model; a collaboration of equals), with and/or without paying clients/students.
