      The Division Manager of Maintenance Services and Utilities (MS&U) is responsible for maintaining and improving the maintenance processes at Fairfield Works, in collaboration with the corporate maintenance reliability team. Additionally, the Division Manager is responsible for the review, coordination and monitoring of contractor activity in the facility, including implementation of contractor reduction projects for the plant. The Division Manager has direct responsibility for mobile equipment repair, air conditioning repair, air compressor maintenance, water treatment, steam and high velocity air generation, scale calibration and repair, railroad track maintenance, high voltage power generation and distribution, and all other utility supplies. Responsibility also includes both mechanical and electrical bull gangs that are assigned in the plant to support repairs the facilities and liaison between our facility and our industrial gas supplier. All activities are required to meet ISO 9000 and 14000 Standards. The Division Manager champions our core value of Safety First, by ensuring safety procedures are developed and followed, along with maintaining world class physical conditions. Other activities include developing new or revising current standard operating practices, policies and procedures; maintaining an atmosphere of cooperative effort between management and non-management employees; training of Area and Shift Managers and providing them with the opportunity to advance to their full potential; and controlling inventories of product and materials. The Division Manager initiates, directs and produces the annual budget; is responsible for all facets of the business within the area; is responsible and accountable for the area’s cost performance; and is responsible for controlling costs within budget objectives.       Maintenance Superintendent

      The Maintenance superintendent is responsible for the daily and short term corrective and preventive maintenance activities associated with the efficient operations of the Maintenance Department.Ensure a safe working environment for Maintenance personnel and ensure that safety standards are met in accordance with company policy, State and Federal regulations. The Maintenance Superintendent will coordinate daily and weekly operation of the Maintenance Department, work closely with Maintenance Supervisors to ensure assigned tasks are completed safely and efficiently, work closely with other department management personnel (Production, Electrical, Quarry, Automation) to confirm tasks are completed in a planned and coordinated fashion. The Maintenance Superintendent will assist and provide guidance to Maintenance Supervisors to resolve human resource and employee relation related issues, assist Maintenance Manager in developing short to mid-term maintenance plans, review deficiencies noted during corrective maintenance, properly channel these issues toward execution, maintain and advise on the use and disposition of stock items and surplus items.
