      I was assigned to the Corrections Division which housed and supervised over 400 state and county inmates. I served in the processing and receiving of inmates arriving at the detention facility. I provided security escort to inmates needing medical attention. I dispensed controlled prescribed medications at set scheduled times. I escorted inmates to the recreation yard to provide security for the facility as well as safety for the inmate population. I conducted personal and cell searches for illegal contraband. I maintained institutional security. I am well versed in Penal, Health and Safety Codes. I wrote and documented criminal reports. I testified in court. I have experience in the Narcotics Division. I have experience in the boat patrol, enforcing the Waterway Laws. I worked undercover playing a high school student in two high schools as part of project designed to eradicate illegal controlled substances on school campus, resulting in the arrest of 30 students involved in illegal activities. I have specifically trained in setting vehicle road blocks, tactics, maneuvers, conducting vehicle and personal searches IAW military rules and regulations. Additionally, I have training in weapons qualification (AR-16, M-249, and the 9mm), the proper detention care and custody of inmates or detainees, and proper maintenance of tactical vehicles.In 2003 to 2004 I served in combat during Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom protecting official dignitaries by escorting them safely throughout the country. I also provided protection from terrorist attacks to convoys throughout the country of Iraq. I am a combat veteran of numerous kinetic events resulting in the preservation of U.S. Soldiers lives as well as the lives of Third World Nation (TN) drivers. I conducted Traffic Control Points (TCP) and participated in numerous searches of vehicles resulting in the impounding of over 100 AK-47s and other weapons. I provided security for the local villages and kept in contact as a liaison with local village Elder’s from surrounding areas in continuous support of U.S. Army objectives.In 2005, I participated in a mission in Egypt, which consisted of providing security to the base and troops located in Alexandria. I was instrumental in enforcing the base rules and regulations. I conducted vehicle and personal searches at Entry Control Points (ECP) and 24 hour perimeter safety security checks.       I serve as a liaison between the Afghanistan National Detention Facility (ANDF) at Parwan, Afghanistan to the Afghanistan National Detention Legal Office, and the Afghanistan National Detention Prosecutors concerning the accurate accountability and transport of all Afghan National Security Court Detainee court hearings, dates, times, and locations. I am instrumental in enhancing and re-constructing the ANDF prison classification system in its entirety. I manage over 2500 Local National (LN) Afghan Detainee legal files, ensuring all court documentation is recorded accurately IAW the ANDF Statement of Work (SOW) while mentoring the LN workforce in capacity building. I oversee the ANDF Detainee Legal documentation as it moves from Primary Court to the Supreme Court and track all Legal and Classification functions for the ANDF. I provide on-going support and expertise through a wide-ranging assessment, planning, implementation and overall evaluation of individual staff training needs. Show less
