  Was domiciled at the Factory's Instrumentation Dept where I undertook tasks such as: 1. Flow MeasurementTroubleshooting and maintenance of Magnetic, Coriollis and Vortex flow meters.2. Temperature MeasurementTroubleshooting of RTDs (pt100) and Thermocouples (J,K). Wiring them to the PLC panel and to a PID controller (Yokogawa) then tapping the 4-20mA output across a multi meter (DMM)3. Pressure MeasurementDifferential Pressure Transmitters(DPTs)4. Industrial Air Conditioning Basics of HVAC such as refilling of refrigerant to the compressor units. Interacted with both domestic and industrial AC systems. 5. Level MeasurementWired a float switch to the clarifier mud tank that would trigger an industrial hooter when tank was full. Interacted with ultrasonic and radar sensors at the dust catcher system.6.pH measurementLearnt calibration of pH meters using buffer solutions.7. Weight MeasurementInteracted with various weight measuring instruments such as load cells (ball and cup type and hydraulic type). Learnt basics of weighbridge calibration and wiring of load cell cables to controller using the color code.Wiring and testing of proximity switches. (NPN and PNP)Termination of signal cables into PLC panels and subsequent loop testingTroubleshooting and Repair of ElectroPneumatic (E/P) positioners;calibrated these positioners using a signal injector (milliamp source) using standard instrumentation signals (4-20mA input and 3-15psi output) Learnt parts of valves through troubleshooting of seat valves; interacted with air to open and air to close type of valves.Interacted with VFD panels, transformers; saw power generation using steam and interacted with various boiler controls Show less
