      The Delhi Policy Group is a Delhi-based independent think tank which seeks to build a non-partisan consensus on issues of critical national interest. Worked within the Peace and Conflict Program, focusing on Afghanistan and its security, economic and political transition post-2014, as well as violent extremism and political processes in the Middle East and India-Central Asia relations. Responsibilities included:• Organisation of the Delhi Policy Group's 6th and 7th annual Regional Conferences on Afghanistan in addition to roundtables, bilateral and trilateral meetings, bringing together academics, policymakers and analysts from across Central and South Asia, and beyond • Conducted YouTube interviews with stakeholders including current and former diplomats, policymakers and scholars• Responsible for funding applications, budgetary monitoring, compiling financial reports, and liaising regularly with representatives from programme donors• Wrote detailed reports on Afghanistan, Central Asia and the Middle East with Dr. Radha Kumar, a leading expert on Afghanistan and Pakistan, including two annual reports on Afghanistan.       Alongside my ongoing role as a political science lecturer, I carry out the following duties as the Academic Co-ordinator at CIEE London:• Hire faculty to teach high school study abroad courses, and assist the Academic Director in recruiting and interviewing undergraduate-level course instructors• Develop new course syllabi for undergraduate and high-school academic programmes• Ensure that course content and co-curriculars include an embedded intercultural component, in line with the values expressed in CIEE's diversity and inclusion statement• Provide academic guidance to students through appointment-based office hours, including essay-writing and research skills sessions, and support students who receive academic accommodations• Work with the Academic Director in implementing disciplinary protocols, in relation to academic integrity violations, and in enforcing attendance and assignment submission policies• Support faculty pedagogical development and ensure course learning objectives are met in course preparation and delivery• Conduct classroom observations to monitor and evaluate instructor standards, and student engagement in the wider learning environment • Provide academic support to Direct Enrol (DE) study-abroad students enrolled in courses at universities in London, including UCL, Westminster, QMUL and UAL• Run Academic Orientation sessions for new students, outlining institutional policies, and expectations regarding conduct on programme Show less CIEE is the United States' oldest and largest nonprofit study abroad and intercultural exchange organization. Founded in 1947, CIEE oversees study abroad programs in more than 40 countries around the world. My role entails teaching degree-level courses for undergraduate students from the United States who are studying abroad in the UK for a semester. Courses take place in CIEE's London Centre in Russell Square.
