    • Baker Hughes

      Nov 2014 - now

During the years spent in the turbomachinery auxiliary systems division, I was in charge of New Product Introduction (NPI) projects and cost reduction programs. Among the main activities:- I coordinated an optimization and cost-out project where we developed an optimized offshore skid solution for an innovative high pressure compression technology, weighing 25% less than the standard solution and costing 15% less. This helped winning bids for crucial projects and increased the technology adoption by new customers.- I was involved in Inquiry To Order (ITO) technical support for offshore and onshore compression trains, managing centrifugal compressor selection, shaft line integration and skid optimization.- I strengthened my expertise as structural engineer being an active member of Technical Boards on structures and materials, leading studies on structural design optimization and new materials introduction (in particular, adoption of composites as substitutes to metals, improving selected properties and reducing structural weight).
