  Beginning on the floor, Christie will introduce specific exercises designed to engage the dancers’ natural instinct for movement and release external tension through use of the breath. We will transition into exercises that explore the concepts of spiralling and pouring energy to come into and out of the floor, creating a sense of “liquid strength” by refining transitions and moving from the deep core body. The class will finish with more complex phrases in which the dancer will be able to explore more deeply the expression of the movement through emotional connection, dynamics, use of space and musicality.
