  OneChild is the first organization in the world empowering a movement of children and youth to take action against the sexual exploitation of children and child sex trafficking, through prevention education, advocacy and mobilization, survivor care, and survivor empowerment.After my term serving as OneChild's Research Assistant, I became Student Representative where I: - Advertise OneChild's "Break the Chains" prevention education speaking tour to local schools and organizations.- Created a comprehensive document explaining the urgency of addressing child sex trafficking and the importance of OneChild and funding prevention in the fight against the social issue.- Hold frequent communications with the OneChild team to discuss next steps and ways to expand OneChild's reach on a province-wide and international level.   For a three-day Model Parliament Program in Toronto, students play the role of a Member of Provincial Parliament (MPP) to learn about the parliamentary and legislative process while meeting key figures in Ontario’s Parliament. Serving as the student representative MPP for St. Catharines, my involvement includes:-Drafted a bill to improve Ontario's human trafficking prevention programs and services.-Served as the opposition critic for the Ministry of Children, Community, and Social Services.-Active participant in the debate of 4 bills in the Legislative Chamber. In 2021, I published "Everyday Impact", a book about social impact, personal empowerment, and putting your passion to action. - Conducted over 40 interviews with different industry professionals to feature in my original nonfiction book “Everyday Impact” (Publication Date: May 11, 2021) - Managed a pre-sale campaign by engaging in strategic outreach to new audiences while designing promotional social media content which accumulated over 90 backers and raised $5000.- Devised and recorded a TED Talk centered around personal empowerment and social impact for an Ontario high school that reached over a hundred students.   Pebble Analytics is a social impact tech startup that combines technology, data science and market solutions to tackle complex social hazards, such as epidemics. - Collaborated with our CEO to prepare documents for social impact accelerator Ship2B that described the impact indicators and evaluation metrics related to Pebble's citizen-science and predictive modelling solution for disease forecasting.- Designed and piloted launch strategies for Pebble's app "Afya" that takes crowdsourced data to identify disease outbreaks in real-time, forecast their spread, and assess impact mitigating social risk.- Mobilized Pebble's consortium of African research and government organizations (Afyanet) supporting the use of technology for disease detection by communicating with government officials and delivering Communications Strategies.- Investigated potential applications of disease forecasting for the financial sector through research and interviews to inform Pebble's profit opportunities as part of the Customer Discovery Team.
