      Co-op/Intern at the Spiralock division in Madison Heights and Chesterfield, MI. This division manufactures custom female fasteners (nuts) and tooling, carbide inserts, taps, and thread mill cutters.I work under the Director of Engineering - North American Industrial division of Stanley Engineered Fastening, along with other Application Engineers. I check AutoCAD and SolidWorks drawings prior to Engineer Approval.Other parts of my job include design and quality testing. Examples include Junker Vibration testing, which tests for loosening of locking mechanisms used for threaded fasteners. I also write test plans to be carried out by the test facility in Decorah, IA. I also help trouble-shoot quality problems as well as re-certify gages for a custom female threadform .I received a WIN award for outstanding work in October of 2016. Show less
