  Led team in utilizing state of the art 2D hydraulic modeling software to model flood scenarios and develop mitigation measures in response to the 2013 Big Thompson River Flood. Integrated lidar and satellite imagery to create 3D area maps and ran simulations using 10, 25, and 50-year storm scenarios. Built partnership with software developer and presented findings to city planners. Won 1st place amongst graduating class. Programmed hydraulic models for forecasting flood behavior, using Java and VBA, to be used in assessing risk to property and equipment located in potential flood zones.
