      Active Transportation Achievement Award Transportation Association of Canada May 2022 The ActiveTO Midtown Complete Street pilot project transformed 3.5 km of Yonge Street into a complete street as part of Toronto’s COVID-19 pandemic response. The City removed one travel lane in each direction while adding all-season protected bike lanes, creating new curb lane cafés, and allocating space for parking/loading.
