  Served on the USS Aylwin (FF1081) we made three deployments one to the Guantanamo Bay Cuba for damage control training. A eight month Med cruise for maneuvers and a five month Middle East cruise. During our deployment to the Persian gulf I received the US Navy Expaditionary medal for war time steaming during the American hostage crisis in Iran.
