  Radio Operator for 16th Signal Regiment. Detachment commander responsible for equipment care and maintenance of upto 20 vehicles containing a range of radio's and cryptographic equipment. Weekly security checks are carried out on all cryptographic and top secret equipment. During tactical communications exercises, I am in charge of my vehicle detachment and 2 junior radio men/women. Working as a radio operator in an Multi-National Op’s room, I showed I was highly competent when working, logging information and communicating with other nations, both in person and over radio systems, often during moments of extreme intensity.   • Complete all rack installations at SGS Colerne for the MOD Skynet 5 contract• Install a wide variety physical equipment including Fibre and Cat5 Patch Panels, Cisco Routers and Modems, Airbus Ectocrypt and switches• Complete all structured cabling• Install and make to measure cabling including Power, Cat6E, Fibre and Coax• Complete site surveys with SIDA to decide where equipment will be installed and how it will be connected into the system• Design a Connectivity diagram, rack layout and wiring schedule diagram using Microsoft Visio and Excel • Maintain and fault find all existing installations• Manage the Config Management Database (CMDB) alongside SAP to make sure all equipment, serial numbers and cable numbers are held on a central database for all to access Show less
