Researched Costa Rica's tourism and hydropower industry as well as payment for ecosystem services (PESs) program. Developed skills in qualitative research methods, project management, and social network analysis (SNA).

      Martinson Sustainability Solutions Research Grant - Apr 2015 Helped me complete an applied project, where I developed a sustainability business plan for a tourism company in Costa Rica.
    • Awarded to Aisling Force
      Walton Global Sustainability Studies Scholar - Feb 2015 A scholarship that supported a study abroad to Guatemala, where I worked on a "Sustainable Neighborhoods for Happiness" project. The project focuses on ways to measure and promote wellbeing within community development. While in Guatemala, I conducted household surveys to measure Guatemalans happiness in relation to their community.

      Travel Grant School of Sustainability, Arizona State University Dec 2014 This grant funded a month long trip to Costa Rica where I conducted field research for a project on tourism sustainability with the rafting industry in December 2014 and January 2015.
