      Teaching Physics A-level, GCSE and KS3 general science.Working closely and effectively with colleagues, particularly within the science department team.Taking responsibility for the same Form Class for 4 years, which included daily monitoring and providing pastoral support. Voluntarily running an after school STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) Club. Through this I led a group of pupils to Second Runner-up in the North England final of the Toyota Technology Challenge (2010). This involved design and construction of a solar-powered racing vehicle. Other achievements include, finishing first in the Wirral Robotics Challenge 2014. Students then had the opportunity to compete in the Merseyside Final as part of the International Festival for Business (IFB) at Aintree Racecourse in June 2014.Helping with the organisation, fundraising and leading a school trip to Malawi in Africa. We took 8 pupils on the expedition, which involved building a nursery school in one of the rural communities in Northern Malawi.Organising and accompanying a school trip to CERN, Switzerland in July 2014. The trip was arranged for current and prospective Physics A-level pupils in order to enthuse and captivate them with some insight to the most exciting research facility in the world.Managing the Year 9 football team in my free time. Responsibilities include weekly coaching sessions and managing their matches against other local schools. Show less

Designing a loading frame to recreate bearing overload events.Designing a dynamic loading rig, with the aim of stroboscopically measuring time-resolved strain in operational bearings, using neutron and X-ray diffraction.
