It extracts geometry data of the CAD model in the form of Boundary Representation (B-rep) format through CAD kernels/APIs like Parasolid, ACIS, SolidWorks, and CATIA. The FR library returns processed information such as holes, pockets, and cutouts for further processing in analysis (DFMPro) and CAM softwares (CAMWorks), thus assisting in their manufacturing intelligence.• Developed in C++, the FR library adheres to SOLID principles for legacy and new developments as required.   • Doctoral research through the UKRI's Center for Doctoral Training (CDT) in Materials for Demanding Environments on an industrial research problem sponsored by Waters Corporation.• Researched nano-scale laser surface texturing on stainless steel surfaces and its relevant use to create protein resistant surfaces for electrodes in high end instrumentation such as Mass Spectrometer. • Achievements: Generated laser processed surfaces on stainless steel 316L electrodes with surface roughness Ra within 10nm. Produced uniform LSFL and HSFL LIPSS features. Also, it improved protein contamination resistance on laser processed surfaces of Mass Spectrometer’s electrodes, supporting the need for further research in this area. • Authored 1 journal paper and 2 conference papers. Delivered presentations at 2 symposiums, 2 conferences, and internal meetings, to expert and non-expert audiences.• Lasers used: 532nm 7W Green marker, 400W 10ps and 800nm 150fs. • Experienced in using characterisation instruments: Optical microscope, Confocal microscope, SEM, AFM, Surface Energy measurement, Interferometer and Nanofocus profiler.• Knowledge of GDOES, XPS, and ToF-SIMS characterization.• Used MATLAB for laser beam profile modelling and data analysis.• Laboratory teaching assistant for undergraduate and postgraduate EDM and laser laboratories.
