      Worked in a grant-funded position with the Plant Disease Identification Clinic to update clinic extension materials and web presence; Partnered with extension specialists to provide the clinic with up-to-date plant disease information and management recommendations in formats which are accessible to both home and professional growers. Conducted research on biological and cultural controls for a root pathogen, Phytophthora cinnamomi. This body of research characterized microbiological aspects of mulching systems through traditional microbiological techniques and enzyme analyses, and helped to clarify the role of microbial-produced cellulase enzymes in the biological control of Phytopthora spp.
