      Molly contracts to speak on genealogy. Molly has over 20 years experience researching her own family, tracing several lines back to the 1600s. She has traveled to Europe to visit her ancestral homelands. She has presented workshops on genealogy to libraries in the Plum Creek, Pioneerland and Traverse des Sioux Library Systems, as well as at the Branch Out Minnesota and Minnesota Library Association Conference.

      Molly Schweinfurter is an award-winning photographer who lives in and photographs the Minnesota River Valley in southwestern Minnesota. She has organized this workshop series to help others develop their skills and passion for photography. Photography Workshops are designed for enthusiastic photographers of all skill levels looking to enhance and improve their photo taking experience. Special emphasis will be made towards developing your Photographer’s Eye and improving your composition skills. All digital cameras and photographer skill levels are welcome and encouraged! We will explore the area of the Minnesota River Valley and the “Scenic City” of Redwood Falls, shooting nature scenes, cityscapes and the rural landscape. What to bring - enthusiasm for photography, your digital camera (either DSLR or point-and-shoot, or both), lenses, extra batteries and extra memory cards. Additional equipment to consider (but not required) would include a tripod and cable release for stop motion shooting. Day One we meet at my studio for a presentation on photography from 7-8 PMDay Two we are out shooting on location from approximately 8 AM - 3 PM Show less
